Love For Patterns

For the love of patterns.
Patterns are a staple piece in your wardrobe and can take a simple outfit and turn it into something different. Whether it's a patterned shirt, bag, or even pants having them is a big staple piece.

In this outfit, I chose my pants as my staple piece. These beautiful printed jogger pants are from American Eagle. These pants are so comfortable and breathable for the summer.

With these pants I paired them with a simple crop top with a little color to make this outfit stand out.

For accessories I added gold pieces a bowler hat and some ankle boots to complete this look.

This is one of my favorite summer outfits

Layering Up For Fall

Fall is here and all those warm sweaters and all that layering is a must for that fall weather. This outfit is a perfect example for layering things that you never actually thought you could.

I layered a sequins collard long sleeve shirt from Forever21 for $25.00CAD with a cropped knitted sweater from Forever21 for $29.00CAD and just folded my sleeves a little and also added a big chunky bracelet. I also found this thick pair of high waisted tights on sale from The Bay for $40.00CAD. I love these tights I found and the are perfect for the fall because they are thick and I can still wear cropped shirts with them with out freezing my butt off!

I also added this thick belt just to add a little more. I got this belt as a gift but it was from Aldo.

Having that little bit of sparkle can add more glitz to your outfit. Everyone needs a little sequins in their outfits!

Hope you enjoyed this OOTD!

Still Enjoying The Sun!

This month has been amazing to me so far and the weather is also a part of that. The sun has not disappointed and had done its job coming out everyday and making each day more beautiful than the last. Today's outfit was airy and something I quickly put together last minute before I had to rush out the door.

With a rustic feel I felt a little collage would be in order for you guys to get an idea of today's outfit.

I wore a long sleeve collared jean shirt I bought from Winners for $39.99CAD. I tied it about half way so I could pair it with my maxi skirt. I got this polka dot maxi skirt from Forever21 for $24.00CAD.

I got this choker necklace as a gift, but I wear it with everything collared. I love this look and have been wearing it all summer. I love that little extra it adds and I think it completes the outfit.

I decided to braid my hair today and did this cute french braid that goes behind my head. It was cute and simple and really easy to do. I wanted to do something a little different than just putting my hair in a ponytail so I decided to do a quick braid.

I hope you enjoyed this look for today!

City Park Life

Summer is coming to an end and I am trying to enjoy those sunny days that show up randomly. I haven't posted anything for a while and I am sorry for that, but this post is just showing some beautiful scenic roots around where I live. This summer for me has been amazing. I would of liked to do more but there is always next year.

My friend and I went around some farm land and visited a local park to take some pictures and just enjoy the day.

(I dressed like I was going hiking, but we were just walking through a city park).

We were going up this hill and started to hear scary noises, we were scared to keep going on but at the top of the hill was more power lines and a empty gravel area...

This is just how I spent my day out and about in my city. If you ever have a free day and have nothing to do, get out and see what your city really has to offer. It beats staying at home!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post!

Graduation!

All my hard work has payed off! Yesterday was my last day at school and my graduation! It was an amazing and hard ten months, but I am so happy and proud of myself that I am done now and sent off to the real world.

"So whether you dream of true love, or success, Of knowledge, world travel, or sweet, simple pleasures, believe in your hopes and your heartfelt desires, and follow their pathway to wonderful treasure."

Today, I spent this amazing day with my mom celebrating even more and the day isn't even over yet! My outfit, I kept simple and a little more on the warmer side because of the cloudy weather today.

I wore my pink silk collared shirt from Jacob for $15.00CAD and my floral trousers from H&M for $10.00CAD. We were walking around a lot so I wore my favorite comfy studded flats from Nine West for $30.00US.

The silk shirt is normally a long baggy shirt, but I just buttoned it half way to make it a cute crop top for high-waist-ed bottoms.

I just added a little choker I got as a gift to add a little final touch. You gotta add some love to your outfit sometimes.

My dog always likes to join in on the fun sometimes!

I hope you enjoyed this look!
Look out for a YouTube post coming soon!

Blah Blah Sunday OOTD

The sun has gone away for a little bit and left us with some clouds in the sky. It was still quite warm out so that was still a nice thing. Today's outfit was put together with my yellow blazer being the focal point.

I paired it with a black and cream colored collard tank from H&M for $19.95CAD and my favorite high waist-ed acid wash jeans from American Apparel for $49.99CAD.

I wore this bling bling ring from Aldo for $15.00CAD

Shoes Shoes Shoes!
I wore my studded flats from Nine West that were $30.00US. These flats are amazing and so comfortable I am starting to wear them more than my TOMS.

I decided to put on some liner today and one of my favorite liquid liners are from MAC. It goes on very black and stays on forever. I like the brush and the way it goes on is effortless. My lips are Giorgio Armani 40.

I hope you enjoyed this post and have an amazing week fashionista's!

Vintage Love

School is coming to an end and I am very excited for what comes after. I have my final next week and had to do some shopping for my final "look". My friend and I stopped by Value Village and actually found some pretty interesting things. Our little shopping spree turned into a 80's fest of two little rich girls trying on a bunch of funny clothes with Cindi Lauper playing in the background. Any way, I found these two shirts that I surprisingly liked.

I found this "jumper" in the blazer section and found that it fit really nice. It is baggy on me but I can wear it with a lot of things and it is great for fall.

The detail on this shirt is beautiful. I love the gold trim it has on the end and the pattern is some of the patterns I see in style right now. There was shoulder pads on the inside but I just cut them off to have a more simple look and I didn't want massive shoulders.

I also found this yellow blazer that has built in shoulder pads that I did not take out. I tried it on and it fits like a glove and actually looks nice with the shoulder pads. I love the bright yellow and it looks amazing on then on the hanger (trust me, you would be surprised).

The detail on this blazer is manly focused on the buttons. These unique silver buttons actually what caught me to this blazer and I like the look of them.

So, you never know what you will find thrift shopping and the deals are always amazing. These two shirts were under $20CAD and your fashion will be unique. Don't be embarrassed about where you shop or what the brand is, yes those things are nice but you never know what you could find and being your self is more beautiful then "who" you are wearing!

I hope you enjoyed these finds!

Flying With Freedom

Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful week, I know I did! This past week has been really hot and summer has been great over here in Vancouver this year. I finally got a chance to wear some of the things I bought out of the house and I am obsessed with this blouse I bought.

I found this blouse at Forever21 for $25.00CAD. This shirt is really airy and comfortable to wear even on those sunny days. I love this shirt because for me I can wear it all year round and make a lot of use out of it.

I paired this shirt with some baggy (skirt like) pants also from Forever21 for $24.00CAD. I bought these pants last winter season but I still see them around and they are so comfortable so these pants are a must!

I paired it with just some studded flats from Nine West for $30.00US.

You gotta love rings! I absolutely love them and I am starting to wear them again. The big one is from Aldo for $12.00CAD and the other ones are from H&M in a pack for $6.95CAD.

I also wore this Bestey Johnson Bracelet I got as a gift.

My makeup was natural today. I recently got a new mascara ( Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume Mascara) and this mascara has been the best one I have used so far. It gives me tons of volume and lasts all day for me. My lips are Scarlet from a "Best Sellers Lip Palette" by Bobby Brown. My eye shadow is Vex by MAC.

I hope you enjoyed this look!

Lovely Vancouver

I recently was in Vancouver for two days and had an amazing time! My aunt came down from Australia and my family and I decided to stay a night in the Pan Pacific Hotel in a beautiful suite. Lets just say that hotel is amazing and I would love to go back there some day and recommend any tourist to stay there!

(The view from my room)

I absolutely love the night life in Vancouver and I had an amazing time with my family there. We went to Granville Island and ate at Bridges. The food was really good but the thing that was a little confusing was their menu. Everything is separated so if you wanted salmon you would have to pay extra to add vegetables etc. I would only go there if I was with a big crowd so you can just get different things and share them with everone. The favorite thing about this restaurant is the view. It looks over the Lion's Gate bridge and I was lucky enough to be out on the night of the Celebration of Lights and the view from the restaurant was perfect, you can see everything while enjoying a yummy dinner.

( I had a Shirly Temple and it was so good!)

(Vancouver's Festival of lights Brazil, view from the patio of the restaurant)

The next day we went to Stanley Park for the day and my sister and I rented some bikes in English Bay and rode through the Park TWICE! Stanley Park is massive so that is pretty cool (to me). I think this is one of the things you have to do if you are visiting Vancouver or live there, it was a beautiful view and an amazing adventure trying to ride bikes through it all.

(Some pictures through Stanley Park)

Wait! I am not done yet!! I stopped by the gift shop at Pan Pacific and picked up these awesome sunglasses for $20 CAD! I wanted a pair of this style for awhile and finally found a pair for a great price and they do a great job blocking the sun!

(Waking up to this, I could get used to that)

These images were taken with my phone (please don't mind the quality) I forgot my camera at home. These were taken with Instagram ( Add me at pattylove ) I posted random but cool pictures! I hope you guys enjoyed this "Travel" blog. It was kind of different for me but I gotta spice things up!

Sunny Sunny Haul!

It seems like forever that I have posted a new blog. I am so sorry about the lack of posts, it is just because I am swamped with school and graduating really soon! But anyway, today I went shopping with my wonderful mommy and bought some cute new things. At this time, the mall has a bunch of sales going on in order to get ready for the fall season, so right now is a good time to go shopping! I picked up some great sale items that I love and can add to my wardrobe.

First, I have to point out this gorgeous choker necklace I bought from Aldo that was on sale for $20CAD! I fell in love with it and I can tell I am going to be wearing it a lot.

I found this collared top from Forever21 for $24CAD. I never really liked the style of the sleeves cut off at the shoulders (which is everywhere right now) but I tried this shirt on just to give it another try and actually liked it on so I bought it.

I am going towards that look of collared shirts with a cute choker necklace tucked under. The sleeves to this shirt are a light fabric so it can be warn all year round.

I bought yet another maxi skirt...
This skirt I bought from Forever21 for $20CAD. I wanted a color that can go with everything so I wouldn't have to wear my plain black one all the time and you can never have too many skirts ;)

Bath & Body Works is having an AMAZING sale right now! I bought so much stuff for only $50CAD. I thought I would share some scents that I found there that I fell in love with. In their Signature Collection the scent Country Chic is amazing. I bought the body cream, fragrance mist, and the body scrub as a set and got another 3 piece set free! I also got a new candle called Green Grass on sale for $10CAD.
From Aldo I bought a set of earrings that were $10CAD and a free pair of earrings that came with a 2 for 1 deal with my necklace I bought there.

I hope you enjoy this Haul post!
