Sunday Outfit

I woke up this morning feeling completely relaxed and fully rested. I spent my day at the dog park with my young-in's, but before that I had a great time at church. It took me half an hour to get ready in the morning which was a big surprise to me, but I had my outfit planned so that saved some time.

I need my glasses to see, so I had to wear them today. I have a pair of RayBan's and I love them so much. I wore my favorite circle scarf, floral dress, and some boots for my outfit today. As for my makeup, I kept it basic with a cat eye liner look. My lipstick is almost the same color as my natural lip (which was so hard to find with my skin tone) by MAC called Polished Up.

This dress is a straight cut and longer in the back then the front. I paired it with one of my belts to make it more flattering to the body.

I wear these boots all season long and I love them to death! They go with so many different looks and a great deal.

Wardrobe:

Dress: H&M $39.95 CAD
Boots: Aldo $39.99 CAD
Scarf: Vintage
Belt: (Used off a pair of pants bought from H&M)

Enjoy your Sunday!

Head Scarf

There is this new trend that started with head scarfs. There are many different types of ways to tie a scarf to have different looks. I looked up some ways on YouTube and fell in love with the "Turban" knot. On YouTube, you can easily find some different ways to tie knots as a style for a headband, all you need is a scarf!

Turban Knot

This look is great for the Spring/summer time and so easy to do. When you don't know what to do with your hair and want something different from a bun or a pony tail, this is something you can consider.

I learned this look from these two girls on YouTube, LuxyHair

Enjoy!

Tofu Stir-fry

Having a busy morning, all you want to do is have a hearty yummy lunch that is easy to make. I am a vegetarian, and this meal is one of my favorites to make. The last time I went grocery shopping (Walmart), I was just browsing through the vegetable isle and came across this Tofu package.

I was reading the package and decided to give it a try. When I bought it, it was on sale for $2.99 so the price is not expensive at all for Tofu. It is so easy to make and I'll give you the directions to make this wonderful meal!

Step 1: HEAT 1/2 cup of water in a wok on high. Add any Vegetables you like and cook until tender.

Step 2: When most of the water has evaporated, ADD the contents of the pouch, squeezing all the sauce out.

Step 3: STIR for 2 minutes or until Tofu is heated through.
You can serve just on its own or with rice/noodles.

This meal is so easy and doesn't take a long time to make.
I hope you enjoy the meal!

Outfit of The Day

My Friday was amazing! I spent the day running around a little with my other half and I went to an outdoor concert, where my favorite band, Down With Webster, was performing. It was awesome! The weather was sunny/cloudy all day with a few little rain drops here and there but it wasn't bad. I put my outfit together quickly in my head, but it turned out to be one of my favorite looks I've ever done.

I borrowed one of my friends jean shirts and paired it with black skinny jeans, and boots. My makeup was simple, I did a winged out liner and a red lip with my favorite lipstick Russian Red by MAC.  My bun is made by a Chignon I bought really cheap at Sally's.

A jean shirt can go with so many different looks and that's what I love about it. It is a must in your wardrobe!

These boots are so comfortable and I wear them so much (hence why they look so worn out). I bought them on sale a few years ago and are still going strong! A good buy is a pair of flat ankle boots, you can wear them with almost everything and wont hurt your feet after a long day in them.

Wardrobe:

Jean Shirt: H&M $39.95 CAD
Black Jeans: American Eagle $49.99 CAD
Chignon: Sally's $2.99 CAD
Boots: Spring $24.99 CAD

Enjoy!

Smokey V Evening Look

A smokey V is easy to accomplish.
To achieve this look, first you would use a black eye pencil at the base of your lashes and then smudge upwards stopping at the middle of the lid. Apply any color to the rest of the and blend into the crease. Take any Black eye shadow and apply at the corner of the eyes and over the smudged eye pencil. Then, blend the Black eye shadow into the crease and Black smudged eye liner. You can finish this look with some fake eyelashes or you can load up with mascara.

With the smokey eye, you can use any color you wish. I used an emerald green. For lips, balance the heavy eye color with a soft or nude color.
Enjoy!

Sunday Funday

Last day of a long week. This morning I went to church and now just relaxing for the rest of the day. I learned a lot this week about life and taking it to heart. Life is tough right now but it will pay off in the end! My outfit for today was a simple spring look for church.

I didn't have much time to do my makeup or hair this morning so I put on some quick liquid eye liner and a pink lip and was out the door.

Lip color: Giorgio Armani 40 Armani Silk

It was a nice sunny day with some clouds so I wanted to put on my favorite summer dress (Yes, that is a dress not a maxi skirt). I bought this floral dress last summer and I am in love with it. I paired it with my cropped knitted sweater, my faux fur collar, and my red TOMS to complete the look.

If you have some thin strap maxi dresses, you can put a sweater over top or even a cardigan to have different looks and use your dresses to your advantage.

Wardrobe:

Cropped Sweater: Forever21 $29.00 CAD (est.)
Maxi Dress: H&M $14.95 CAD
Faux Fur Collar: H&M $15.95 CAD
TOMS: Nordstrom $35.00 US

Outfit of the night

Last night, one of my best friends had his first open mic night as a comedian and he was amazing! The weather was on our side and didn't rain once. The outfit I chose was a little bit on the cool side (meaning I was freezing my butt off!), but it wasn't that bad of a walk.

This look I wanted to be comfortable yet stylish and my favorite maxi skirt was the solution for that! I paired it with one of my short sleeve button up collar shirts and a jean jacket to complete the look. My favorite thing about this outfit is that I can wear any type of shoes with it, in this case I paired it with some flat ankle boots.

Wardrobe:

Jean Jacket: American Eagle (Bought a few years ago) $39.00 est.
Collar Top: H&M $19.95
Maxi Skirt: Forever21 $24.00
Boots: Aldo $49.00

Makeup

My makeup was almost the same way I do it normally, but I wanted to make it a little different. I did a "smokey V" look and added fake lashes to make my eyes pop a little more.

Eyes:

Eye shadow: Vex and Black Gold by MAC
Lashes: (They are half lashes) from Sephora called Flutter

Lips:

Russian Red by MAC
Lip Liner: Annabelle 205 Cherry

Hope you enjoy this look!

Cropped Sweater

These are some different looks you can do with a cropped sweater

I am using the same knitted cropped sweater and showing different styles you can use it for. With this look, I paired the sweater with a high wasted maxi skirt. Maxi skirts are very popular right now and great for the spring and summer. They are so easy to wear and can be stylish at the same time. They are my favorite type of skirts and just having a few different styles and colors of some maxi skirts can make your whole wardrobe for spring/summer. This is a must have!

This look is for something more comfortable and warmer, yet stylish. The high wasted floral pants are great for this look. This style of pants are in season right now and great to put on for a quick and stylish look for the spring. These pants are made out of cotton and spandex, so they are really comfortable and easy to wear. Finding pants with spandex in them will help make them more comfortable and wearable.

This look is for a night out. High wasted shorts and tights are very popular right now and great for spring/summer. Tights are getting more popular and everyone is even making tights with different patterns on them to make your outfit even more unique. You can accessorize this with a belt and some nice heels for a night to remember!

One of my favorite accessories is my faux fur collar. It goes with everything I wear and I can even put it over my jackets. It can style up your outfit and keep you warm at the same time.

Wardrobe:

Cropped white knitted sweater: Forever 21 - $29.00 CAD (est.)
Maxi Skirt: Forever 21 - $24.00 CAD (est.)
Floral Pants: H&M - $10.00 CAD (on sale)
Royal Blue Shorts: H&M - $29.95 CAD
Faux Fur Collar: H&M - $15.95 CAD
Wedge Shoes: Le Chateau - $49.99 CAD (on sale)

** The main places I love to shop are Forever 21 and H&M. You can find great things for a good price and they have so much selection and different styles which I love. Enjoy!

This is the Urban Decay All Nighter Long Lasting Setting Spray

This setting spray is my favorite and I use it every time I apply my makeup. It is oil free and holds my makeup in place all night. A setting spray is designed to hold your makeup in place and helps your makeup last. Usually we all sweat off our makeup or have oily skin which makes the makeup come off faster and easier. I have oily skin and this spray keeps my makeup in place and it keeps my makeup lasting all day. I love this setting spray and would recommend everyone trying it and see for yourself how great it is!

Eye Liner Looks

These are some different eye liner looks you can do for the day and night.

For this look, the liner is just following the curve of your natural eye shape and ending with your natural eye shape. Your eyeliner thickness should depend on your eye shape. If your eyes are smaller, your liner should be on the thicker side to make the eye appear larger. If your eyes are bigger, you want to have your liner thinner. You always want your liner to start off thin, medium, than thick ( Starting from the inner eye working your way out). Using that technique, it looks more natural and more flattering to the face. On my model her eyes are small so her liner is thicker than usual. You can use this look for the day and you can also add some lashes for a night look.

For this look, the liner is exactly the same as the first one except I added a wing at the end for the Cat eye look. This is more of a retro look and give the eye more of a lift than the first one. To achieve this look, put on your liner as you normally would but leave the end last. The easiest way I find to add a wing to the end of your liner is to keep your eye open and lightly start where you want your Cat Eye and work to connect to your liner. But then again, any way you are most comfortable with will give you your best Cat Eye. This look can be for the day again or even night just like this or make it even more dramatic with some heavier eye shadow and some lashes.

For this look, the liner is a little more dramatic but still can be warn in the day or night. This Cat Eye is drawn out more. With this look if you want to draw out your Cat Eye, follow the shape of your Eye Brow. Where your brow ends should be the end of your Cat Eye so it balances the shape of your eye.

For this look, the Cat Eye is exactly the same as the previous picture, but I made it more of a night look by adding shadow and liner to the bottom lashes. These are one of my favorite looks to do for the night out because it stays on and it is easy to apply. For the bottom lashes I used a black eye pencil and black eye shadow.

For all the liner looks I used a Black liquid eye liner.

All these looks are easy to apply and can be great for the day and night.

I used :

Liquid Eye Liner ``Boot Black`` - MAC
Eye Pencil ``Blackest Black`` - Maybelline Line Express
Eye Shadow - ``Black Gold`` - MAC

Smokey Eye

This is a simple and easy smokey eye I did with just using black shadows and a hint of browns/golds.

The tip for a good and long lasting smokey eye is to start with a black eye pencil. The pencil gives a darker look and a great cream base for the powder shadow to cling onto and hold for a longer wear. With the pencil, I apply about half way on the lid and then blend with a smudge brush. You can then apply your powder eye shadow, I worked with a black starting at the bottom then working about half way up the lid then switched to a golden brown shadow to the crease and finished with a highlight under the brow. The bottom lashes were smudged with a little black shadow and a black eye pencil for the waterline. The key to have a beautiful smokey eye is to work from the bottom, up and a lot of blending! The lash line should be the darkest and work your way up using lighter colors. Finish with a nude lip, or a faint color ( To not overpower the smokey eye) and a little blush for a gorgeous smokey look.

Out on the town

This is a great evening look and one of my favorite looks I like to do on others as well as myself. With a little eyeliner and a red lip you can go from day to night in a snap.

For this look I used my makeup kit from school for professional use, but you can create this look with any makeup brand. Liquid eyeliner would work best to get a solid straight line and you can even add a little wing at the end to create a more retro look. For the lips, always do a lip pencil first. That will prevent the lipstick from bleeding and give you a longer wear. I made this color from my pallet, but I was going for the Russian Red by MAC color. Adding fake strip lashes will give a better effect for this look and look beautiful on. A little victory role and your set for a night out in the town!
Hope you enjoy.

Brushes

These are my personal brushes I use when applying my makeup. All my MAC brushes came in a set for a Christmas present I got a few years back.

I have:
MAC 129SE, 212SE, 190SE, 227SE, 266SE, 275SE, 224SE.
Bare Escentuals powder brush
Que rounded eye shadow brush

Simple for Spring

Basic Makeup for the spring time

Spring is here and the weather is looking better day by day. For the spring I like to keep my makeup natural with a pop of color (which is popular right now). Towards summer, less makeup is better. With all the hot weather you will be sweating and it would be such a waste to have all that makeup sweat off your face. Water proof things are the way to go! A water proof mascara and eyeliner is the best for spring and summer and won't sweat off your face in the heat. Any drug store makeup remover would work to remove the waterproof makeup and give you a clean canvas to work for the next day.

This look I used:

Eye shadow- Vex by MAC, and did a light smokey V with Black Gold by MAC
Mascara- Opulash for volume blackest black by MAC
Blush- Dolce Vita by Nars
Lipstick- Russian Red by MAC
